Prof Pieter Rousseau Fourie has been practising paediatrics for 24 years of which 22 in private practice. At present, he is closely associated with the Cape Gate Mediclinic and also serves as the visiting paediatric consultant to MCare RustenVrede clinic. His main interests are immune deficiencies as well as ADHD, Tourette and the Autistic Spectrum Disorders. He also maintains a direct relationship with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences as an extra-ordinary associate professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care and an adjunct professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering where he oversees a number of research projects in the area of ADHD and autism.

Dr Chris Heymans is a general medical practitioner with a special
interest in Psychiatry in South Africa. He worked in the United Kingdom in Psychiatry speciality from 2000 to 2017.

In addition to his medical qualification, he holds a BSc degree with psychology as the main subject. He did training in dialectical behaviour therapy(DBT) in the United Kingdom.

Natheema Toffar is a professional nurse who obtained her BCUR degree at the University of Stellenbosch.

With 28 years in nursing and 17 years in the field of psychiatry she brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences.

Her interest in autism developed after her son was diagnosed with ASD.

It is her passion to provide support, training and services to families who have the challenge of raising a child with special needs.
